You will met with your doctor again to review your lab work and functional test results in 2-6 weeks.

  • Do you bill to insurance?
The cost of any services provided by Dr. K or her team will be billed to you directly. You are responsible for submitting your insurance claims. Medical expenses such as lab tests and prescription medications may be covered by a member’s health insurance plan per that plan’s rules. We do not submit a medical claim to insurance on your behalf. We will provide you with a detailed billing summary that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement. There may be procedures or lab tests that are not covered depending on your plan’s rules.
  • What do I need to know about lab tests?
The specific tests ordered will be personalized to you based on your initial evaluation with your doctor and may include blood, saliva, urine, or stool testing. You will be provided with options on how you can proceed with functional testing and lab testing so it is affordable and comprehensive. We may request conventional lab testing as part of your medical workup. These tests, if requisitioned by your family doctor, would be covered by OHIP. You will be given the opportunity to speak with your family doctor to see if they would be willing to requisition the test. Alternatively, our team will requisition the conventional tests. Conventional testing requisitioned by our team will not be covered by OHIP and you will be responsible to cover the cost of the testing. We will make every effort to make you fully aware of any additional lab fees that may be incurred and to give you the opportunity to choose which lab tests you feel comfortable paying for. You are under no obligation to purchase any specialty testing.
